Our staff spent time talking to local and national PTA representatives as well as treasurers and presidents. Treasurers and presidents across the state are looking for ways to help make sure they are complying with all chapter and national requirements. Treasurer's Briefcase was well received as a way to help current and future treasurers save time and comply with all requirements.
During a breakout session on 501(c)(3) status, Dave Lauer of Treasurer's Briefcase was able to contribute a CPAs view to the group on the pitfalls of IFAs (Individual Funded Accounts) and other nuances of non-profit status in the eyes of the IRS.
